How you can install Appmenu (Global Menu ) in Ubuntu 24.04

INSTALL GLOBAL MENU IN GNOME 45-46

Hello Linux users , how are you everyone? Today I shall show you , How you can install global menu or appmenu in your gnome desktop.

Please follow each steps. If you ignore any step then you can not install it perfectly.

First of all you should install <git> in your system. Make sure type following command ->

$git --version

If it is show like this image then you have already install git in your system

If it doesn't show then you should install git , so type this following command in your terminal ->

$ sudo apt-get install git

Now you need to install fildem globalmenu package , so type this following command

$git clone https://github.com/Sominemo/Fildem-Gnome-45.git

$cd Fildem-Gnome-45

$cp -r fildemGMenu@gonza.com ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/

This extension has successfully installed in your system , then enable this extension , you need to do some work , so let's go to see those work.

You need to install fildem debain package . so paste this link in your browser

Then you can see , a package install in your system like this following image

Now type this following command

$ sudo apt install ./fildem_0.6.7_all.deb

Then you can see that, package will be completely install. Log Out or reboot your system.Then run

$fildem

You will see that global menu is working .

Now set this $fildem command in start up Application following this process,for that you don't need to run this command next time.

Now restart your system or Log Out 😌 .

Finally global menu or App menu is working perfectly .
